All of the functions and controls found on the BenchTop Lite User Interface, such as those pictured here, are also accessible via the SCPI commands described in the BenchCom operators manual. |
One of the most important components of BenchCom is the extensive Operators Manual. The manual contains individual sections on a wide variety of software environments such as Visual Basic, LabView , and C++. Also, there is an extensive reference section describing the use the SCPI compatible commands. SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments) is an industry standard syntax developed by a consortium of instrumentation manufacturers. Conversion of test systems from "rack-and-stack", or VXI to a PC-based system is made easier by PC Instruments use of the SCPI syntax. And, another important component of BenchCom is the application engineering support you will receive when you purchase a product from PC Instruments. Our engineers have many years of experience and are ready and able to assist you in building your next test system. The BenchCom Software Bundle has been used to build test systems utilizing any of the major operating systems, many different programming environments (e.g. C++, C, Visual Basic, and Visual C), and many third-party applications (e.g. LabView ATEasy, HPVee, and LabWindows CVI. |
