BenchCom ™ Software from PC Instruments is used to build automatic test equipment (i.e. ATE, functional test, and in-circuit test systems) utilizing C++, C, Visual Basic, Visual C, LabView, ATEasy, HPVee, and LabWindows CVI. Looking for high speed data acquisition, analog-to-digital conversion, analog input, analog output, digital oscilloscopes, instrumentation, digitizers, test & measurement cards, arbitrary waveform generators, digital-to-analog conversion, or digital input and digital output? PC Instruments can provide the answer. BenchCom is used to build application programs using DLLs, (DLL, dynamic linked library, dynamically linked library) and programmer’s libraries for Visual Basic, Visual C, Delphi, Quick Basic, C, C++, ATEasy, HPVee, (HP Vee), LabView, LabWindows CVI, and other environments. Engineers have used BenchCom to create applications in a variety of operating systems such as WindowsNT (Windows NT, WinNT), Windows 95 (Windows95, Win95), Windows 98 (Windows98, Win98), Windows 3.1 (Windows 3.X, Win3.X, Win3.1), and DOS. On a contract basis, PC Instruments has assisted engineers in building applications in other operating systems.

All of the functions and controls found on the BenchTop Lite User Interface, such as those pictured here, are also accessible via the SCPI commands described in the BenchCom operators manual.

One of the most important components of BenchCom is the extensive Operators Manual. The manual contains individual sections on a wide variety of software environments such as Visual Basic, LabView ™, and C++. Also, there is an extensive reference section describing the use the SCPI compatible commands. SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments) is an industry standard syntax developed by a consortium of instrumentation manufacturers. Conversion of test systems from "rack-and-stack", or VXI to a PC-based system is made easier by PC Instruments’ use of the SCPI syntax. And, another important component of BenchCom is the application engineering support you will receive when you purchase a product from PC Instruments. Our engineers have many years of experience and are ready and able to assist you in building your next test system. The BenchCom Software Bundle has been used to build test systems utilizing any of the major operating systems, many different programming environments (e.g. C++, C, Visual Basic, and Visual C), and many third-party applications (e.g. LabView™ ATEasy™, HPVee™, and LabWindows™ CVI.

LabView™ and LabWindows™ CVI are registered trademarks of National Instruments. ATEasy™ is a registered trademark of Geotest. HPVee™ is a registered trademark of Hewlett-Packard.
