Below are links to the latest versions of BenchCom and BenchTop Lite software, and links
to the BenchCom Users Manual and BenchTop Users Manual. To download a software item,
simply left-click on the description and save the file to your disk. Once the download is
complete, locate the file using Windows Explorer and double-click on it.
*Note: 16 bit BenchTop is for use in either Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or Windows 98.
BenchCom™
The BenchCom Software Bundle
includes a complete set of user interfaces, tools, and utilities for using PC Instruments'
oscilloscopes, generators, and multiplexers. In fact, every instrument made by PC
Instruments can be controlled through a single, common programming syntax called SCPI
(Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments). BenchCom is included free-of-charge with
every instrument from PC Instruments, and all upgrades to future versions of BenchCom are
free. Using the libraries and DLLs that come with BenchCom, a programmer can integrate
control of PC Instruments' products into a wide variety of environments:
LabView™ for Windows,
Visual Basic for Windows,
Borland C++ and Visual C++ for Windows,
Borland C/C++ 3.1 for DOS-based projects, and
Other DOS environments through script I/O.

BenchTop™ Lite for Windows
BenchTop Lite is included
with every instrument from PC Instruments. BenchTop is a stand-alone Windows program that
makes using PC Instruments' products as simple as point-and-click. Many test engineers
will use BenchTop Lite to create their test sequence by using the SCPI command entry box
and see the immediate result of each SCPI command. Then they will migrate the test
sequence into their chosen application program. Also, for more advanced features, read the
following paragraph concerning BenchTop Plus.
BenchTop™ Plus for Windows
BenchTop Plus
(available for an additional charge, part number PCI-820) extends the power of BenchTop
Lite for Windows by adding three additional features specifically designed for PC
Instruments oscilloscopes. Also, the Automated test Language interpreter is included and
is very useful for automating test sequencers for generators, oscilloscope, and
multiplexers. Below is a list of the advanced features you will find in BenchTop Plus for
Windows.
Pulse Analysis,

FFT Capabilities, and
Boundary Testing.
